Cute & Easy Last-Minute Halloween Costume – Hello Kitty Bandit

Inspired by the coolest and cutest cat burglar herself!

Hi there!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and yet, I had no ideas for a costume this year! That is, until I noticed that my newest Hello Kitty plush had an easy (and adorable!) bandit look that anyone could feasibly recreate with items around their house or a trip to Icing.

The inspo:

Hello Kitty 13″ Halloween Plush – Bandit – Kidrobot

What you’ll need:

  • A striped black and white shirt – long sleeved, cropped, short-sleeved, sleeveless – the choice is yours!
  • Black shorts or mini skirt – denim, pleather, whatever allows you to move comfortably and swiftly like a true cat burglar.
  • Cat ears – I found these super adorable (and affordable!) cat ears at Icing, and they light up!
  • Black gloves – honestly, you could wear black winter gloves or get a little fancier with some long satin gloves like these ones I also got from Icing. (No Icing stores nearby? Don’t fret – these gloves are also available at Claire’s!)
  • Black fishnet tights – found these fishnet tights with black heart stamps also at Icing (seriously, they did not skip a beat this year for a bandit theme!).
  • Any black shoes will do, but I opted for my Madden Girl heels from DSW (if you like them, get this – they’re on clearance!).

Optional:

To be truly faithful to the original inspiration, you can wear a black bandana like this one available at Icing and attach an orange and black bow that you can either find on Amazon or make yourself using craft store materials.

Of course, feel free to draw some cat whiskers and even wear a fake cat tail to really tap into your cat burglar persona.

And if you don’t have gloves, paint your nails a black color or even try some fun press-on nails like these Hello Kitty ones from The Creme Shop.

The Final Look

Don’t forget your trick-or-treating purse like I did!

And, now you should look like the most adorable cat burglar on the block!

Hope you enjoyed this post and got some good ideas for your cat burglar costume – whether Hello Kitty inspired or not!

Thanks so much for reading, and Happy Halloween!
